Dave Willis spent thirteen years as a full-time pastor and is now a speaker, author, relationship coach, and television host for MarriageToday. He works with his wife, Ashley, to create relationship-building resources, media, and events as part of the team at www.MarriageToday.com and www.xomarriage.com. They have four young sons and live in Keller, Texas.

Dave Willis, author, speaker, and father of four boys, talks biblically and practically about how to raise a generation of boys who are champions, encouragers, and respecters of women.

In the #metoo and #churchtoo era, with so many men and boys continuing to make the same mistakes, we have to ask: Where are we going wrong? And perhaps more importantly, how do we raise up men who will break this cycle?

As the father of four boys, relationship coach and author Dave Willis has studied this issue deeply, concluding that if we are to raise boys to respect girls--and not end up with men who say they respect women but whose actions reveal otherwise--we must go back to the heart of things. Or, more specifically, we must go back to our own hearts.

In Raising Boys Who Respect Girls, Willis helps readers inventory the blind spots that lead to accidental forms of disrespect, showing how to root out issues in our own hearts before we inadvertently pass along these same issues to our boys. He also teaches readers how to cultivate a healthy respect for God and for themselves as created in his image, as well as a similar respect for others. Full of scripture, research, age-specific tools, and conversation models, this book offers a practical strategy for mindful parents to first embody the right principles themselves and then teach them to their sons.

A bold and engaging new book from Dave! I had to an opportunity to read Dave Willis's new book, "Raising Boys Who Respect Girls", before its initial release. I've also followed some of Dave's writings over the years such as "The Seven Laws of Love, which is highly recommended, and attended his sermons for several years when he was a teaching pastor. Dave's love for God stands out in every word he preaches and writes. And his newest book is his boldest yet, delving deep into difficult subjects that's plaguing our culture today and how it potentially impacts our future generation of men. And Dave doesn't hold back on the topics he discusses, so be prepared that a few stories he writes will shock and surprise you, but for good reason so that we understand the world we're in now is a falling place. Topics such as the mistakes that some men have made for many years using power to disrespect women, leading up to the #MeToo movement. And, the potential downfall of how we think and use technology if we don't equip our boys with a broader sense of love and morality for girls using their minds and hearts. You can tell in every chapter Dave has spent several years of research as well as interviewed several groups of people, both men and women of various ages, to help give us perspective on the importance of respecting women. But, the most impressive part of this book is it's more than just teaching our boys advice on who treat girls with great care. It's a call for our boys to be protectors of women when they grow up, and set a better example of men than ever before through the teachings of Jesus Christ.I highly recommend this book for anyone who has children, even if you don't have boys. I also recommend this book for anyone, especially men like myself, who hopes to have a family, so they can be prepared in advance to give advice to their own children someday. It certainly opened my eyes and I hope the same will be said for anyone, parent or not, who reads this book. Thanks Dave!Research based, Biblical Worldview, Relevant, Become Part of the Solution! This has been one of the best books my husband and I have read in awhile. We are parents of three teenage boys and a young daughter. We have been devastated, like so many other parents, over the past few years as we have witnessed the significant decline of Biblical manhood and womanhood . It's destroying souls, relationships, and the home. We believe that so goes the home...so goes the culture...This book has become a major tool in our parenting toolbox. It has sparked conversations with our boys, that we believe will be used by God to direct their stories towards His original design and intent for boys and men.. We want to be part of the solution of raising boys who walk into all that God has for them. The culture is lying to our boys and men....this has to stop. With this book in hand, we believe that one home at a time...the tide can and will change. It's time to take back ground and our Christian ideals for the Kingdom! Thank you so much Dave Willis!Great Book! I follow Dave & Ashley on Facebook and am always encouraged and excited to read what they have to share! My copy of this book just arrived today all the way in Okinawa, Japan! I just finished chapter 1 and it’s amazing. Can’t wait to read more!
